Many people aren't aware that residency in a specific city or county isn't a requirement for obtaining a library card. Applying online gives you access to an eCard, regardless of your location. I have library cards from four different cities in California and they all have their own unique benefits.

Free access to Libby, an innovative app designed to make borrowing audiobooks, e-books, music, and movies super easy. You can check out audiobooks and play in your car through Bluetooth. We’ve used Libby for years and love it!

Maker’s Space: access to sewing, embroidery, and Cricut machines, laser engravers, and 3D printers. They also offer weekly in-person classes on how to use the equipment.
Craftsy: an online resource for creative makers. This includes over 3,000 hours of video instruction for people interested in fabric and yarn crafts, baking, drawing, gardening, photography, floral design, and much more.
