“I’m a wife, mama, Pinterest fanatic, Sephora addict and killer margarita maker.”
MORE ABOUT ME:
Seven years ago my boyfriend (who’s now my husband) talked me into pursuing my passion for photography and take a leap of faith. He bought me my first professional camera, flash and telephoto lens and told me to follow my heart.
I was absolutely petrified. I had no idea if starting my own business would work out and I certainly had no idea how I would pay him back if it didn’t.
I began working as a lifestyle photographer, doing family, newborn and maternity sessions.
Eventually I shot my first wedding- I remember driving home that night having an A-ha moment. I knew with every bone in my body and every piece of my soul, that this was my calling.
Although weddings are my speciality, I still adore lifestyle photography. Capturing candid moments between families during my annual holiday sessions. Taking maternity pictures and bonding with beautiful first time moms. Photographing sweet newborns and witnessing the love they instantly bring into the world. Many of my wedding clients have also started families and it’s amazing to be able to document these next chapters in their lives.
Today I reside by the beach in Los Angeles. I’m a wife, mama, Pinterest fanatic, Sephora addict and killer margarita maker.
I adore farmer’s markets, all things Anthropologie, and people that love to laugh.
When shooting your wedding, I’ll encourage you to take a minute during all the excitement and be still, look around, and take it all in. I understand how each and every detail of this day has consumed your every thought for months. I want you to remember it ALL. And if you don’t, I will be sure to document every last bit of it. From the moment you look in the mirror after your hair is finished, to the way your mom watches you during the father/daughter dance. I’ll hold your lipgloss and help bustle your dress. I’ll fix your veil and hand out tissues to anyone that needs them. I’ll even flag down the server if you’re in desperate need of champagne before the toast.
Although formal wedding shots are just as important, I think the real magic happens when moments are captured candidly. You want to look back on your day and see the groomsmen’s laughter as they try and put on their boutonnieres, the final touches of the reception before anyone sits down and the joy on everyone’s faces as the dancing kicks off.
One of the greatest compliments couples can give me is that I make them feel completely comfortable. I’m happy to admit many of my clients have also become dear friends.

“The second my husband and I met Kathryn there was an instant connection. Our pictures turned out so natural and more importantly…looking like us. Everything felt comfortable and natural… To say Kathryn is great at what she does is a complete understatement. I couldn’t have imagined ANY other person capturing our wedding day. To put it simply, she’s the best of the best!”

“I could cry just thinking about when we first saw our pictures. There isn’t one bad picture in the bunch. She captured everything I could have ever imagined. That’s the best part! I didn’t have to tell her anything- she just came, took charge and did an absolutely beautiful job.”
